Dick Baker has been president of Ponderosa Homes since 1998. During his more than 25 years in the homebuilding industry, Mr. Baker has also held the positions of president of Pulte Homes Northern California and Greystone Homes North Bay. His extensive experience and dedication to building quality homes has helped Ponderosa establish and maintain its impeccable reputation as one of Northern California's finest homebuilders. Dick earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from Seattle University and a master's in business administration from UC Berkeley.

He is currently a member of the board of directors of the Bay Area Council and he is a past Chairman of the Board of the Home Builders Association of Northern California. Dick has also served his community as Past Chairman of HomeAid of Northern California and leads Ponderosa's annual campaign to raise money for the March of Dimes. In 2005, Dick was inducted into the California Building Industry Hall of Fame
