Thanks to Labor Day, a 3-day weekend is right around the corner – and that means it’s time for family, friends and food!
Don’t worry – we’ve got your food covered! Check out these Labor Day-inspired dishes.
For the appetizers we have a triple berry salsa, caprese salad kabobs or some firecracker shrimp.
Nothing says summer like a light salad. Here are some great creations: a garden vegetable pasta salad, a bacon potato salad or a berry slaw.
And we all love heaping side dishes on our plates, so why not try chipotle lime corn cobs, barbecued beans or grilled veggie kabobs.

With three stages, over 25 different bands and plenty beautiful tall trees, the 19th Annual Idyllwild Jazz in the Pines festival is the event you don’t want to miss this weekend.

There’s only one thing better than a baseball game on a warm summer night – and that’s when the San Jose Giants play!
Next week it’s all about the home games. Starting Monday, August 20, and continuing through Thursday, August 23, the San Jose Giants will battle it out against Visalia! Make sure you schedule time to cheer on your favorite local baseball team. With entertainment including Jason Buell, a demolition derby, sea lion encounter, veggie and flower growing contests, lively dance shows, photography contests and a hypnotist show, there’s no reason you shouldn’t go to the fair, because everyone will find something that they love!
