In wine country every vineyard thinks that they can craft the best bottle. The best aroma, legs, breathability and clean, crisp taste are all in a wino’s dream glass. So who is the best in all the land? Now you can be a part of the competition!

Mark your calendars now because Club Sport in Pleasanton, CA and SignatureWines.com are hosting the first annual “Battle for the Purple Boot Award” a blind wine tasting shoot out scheduled for June 22. The competition is between: your neighboring Livermore Valley and the Santa Cruz Mountains.

As a guest and judge at this event you will get the opportunity to sample a red wine and a white wine from four wineries from each area. While you are sipping and sloshing away be prepared for a variety of appetizers that compliment the wine and overwhelm your senses.

With a combination of votes from you and the esteemed judges, you will declare the winner, who gets to take home the “Purple Boot.” As a souvenir, why not purchase a bottle of your favorite wine of the evening to remember such a fun event!
